Guess what, Merthur fans? It’s almost that time of year again! Merthur Glompfest will be returning in 2021 for another round of fantastic fanworks, just for you 😘

What is a Glompfest, you ask?

A Glompfest is a gifting fest designed as a way for fandom creators to give back to those fans who wouldn’t usually be eligible to take part in a typical exchange fest.

How does it work?

Glompees (lurkers, readers, commenters, or fandom supporters of any stripe) will be asked to provide a prompt or prompts for glomping, which will then be claimed by Glompers (fandom creators) and filled according to the Glompee’s request. Completed works will then be posted to our AO3 Collection and shared here on Tumblr for everyone’s enjoyment!

Like a phoenix from a flame—or in this case, an Arthur from a lake—Merthur Glompfest returns!

What is a glompfest, you ask?

A glomp-fest is a fandom gifting fest designed with one thing in mind: giving back to all those who wouldn’t usually get gift fics or art in a traditional exchange fest.

How will it work?

If you’re a lurker, reader, commenter, or supporter of any kind, you get to submit a prompt (or multiple prompts) for you to be glomped on! If you create fanworks, then you get to choose a prompt, create a gift inspired by that prompt, and gift it to your glompee as a way to give back to the fandom community.

Head on over to our FAQ page, have a read through and then prepare to be glomped, or to do some glomping! Prompting opens 10th January!
